Vrnjacka Spa

Vrnjacka Spa is place located in Southern part of Serbia, about 200 km from Belgrade. It is a resort and mineral spa which contains the world's only hot spring with a temperature measuring exactly that of the human body. Vrnjačka Spa is the most visited and the most popular spa of Serbia situated in a great park full of trees with particularly charming houses. It has long rehabilitation tradition, since on its hot springs, Romans built their thermas and rehabilitation centres from II to IV century. Surrounding Vrnjačka Banja are UNESCO protected medieval buildings, which serve as a reminder to early European civilisation. Other nearby landmarks include the first court of the Serbian Archbishop, the Žiča Monastery and the beautifully frescoed Sopoćani which both date back to the thirteenth century and the twelfth century Studenica Monastery which are nestled in the colourful Ibar River Valley.

Departure to Monastery Žiča, from XIII century. Monastery was built by Stefan Nemanja, and was seat of Archdiocese of Serbia. Continue to Monastey Studenica. Sightseeing of monastery complex that consists of three churches, lodgings and treasury. Monastery Studenica is on UNESCO cultural heritage list and it is from XII century. Continue to Monastery Gradac. The exact year of the monastery establishment is unknown, but it is considered that the construction works were finished at the end of the XIII century. The monastery was built in Raska school, and presents the endowment of Queen Jelena Anzujska, who also founded first school for women in Serbia. Following we will make a stop in a restaurant near place Raska, where you will have opportunity to taste local specialities. After lunch continue to visit Sopocani Monastery, one of the most beautifully frescoed monasteries in Serbia. Sopocani, built by the first Serbian medieval dynasty of Nemanjici during the peak of 13th century fresco painting, was the first Serbian Monastery to be listed on UNESCO.


This day we will take you to the Serbian famous wine region Zupa. First you will visit Aleksandrovac followed by short sightseeing tour. This town is the centar of Zupa region, and one of the Serbian “wine capitals”. Grapes and wine are the central part of the life of this town and this area. In the vineyards around Aleksandrovac, are scattered 24 seasonal settlements, whose preserved traditional architecture makes them a worthwhile sight. We will take to two wine cellars for wine tasting some of the best wines of this region. The oldest native Serbian grape varieties - Tamjanika and Prokupac are being grown here. Prokupac is a thoushand-year-old cultivarm while Tamjanika, originating from France, has been grown here for over 500 years . Lunch after which follows return to Vrnjacka spa.

Departure to the Serbian most popular winter destination – mountain Kopaonik. Here you will have a walking tour through the paths of this beautiful mountain. From some of the viewpoints you will have gorgeous view on whole Kopaonik. We will take you to a ride on cable car from where you will enjoy the view on beautiful scenery. Kopaonik gives opportunity for lot of different activities during spring/summer season: paragliding, archery, off-road tours, biking in Bike Park, walking tour, horseback riding, adventure park (bob on rails, tubing, and adrenaline zip line). After this thrilling ride, departure to Brus where you lunch will be served at the restaurant in natural ambience.


Ovcar-Kablar Gorge lies between mountains of Kablar and Ovcar. It is the most picturesque gorge in Serbia that features an outstanding, beautiful and diverse landscape, and famous for numerous monasteries. During the tour through the Gorge we will visit two monasteries. On our return to Vrnjacka Spa first, we will make stop in city of Cacak for lunch and for visit to the National Museum of Cacak.
