Day 1. Belgrade - Smederevo - Vrnjacka Spa (cca 250 km)
Arrival in Belgrade. Sightseeing of Belgrade and visits to the most important cultural and historical marks of Belgrade are organized. Stroll on the Kalemegdan. Sightseeing by tram finishes with the visit to “House of Flowers”, grave of long standing president of former Yugoslavia Tito. Trip to Smederevo. Visiting the fortress, capital of despot Djuradja Brankovica, with rich cultural content. After the trip to Vrnjacka Spa, accommodation in one of the local hotel ***. Dinner. Night-time in the hotel.

 

Day 2. Vrnjačka Spa - Monastery Zica Monastery Studenica - Novi Pazar - Djurdjevi stupovi (cca 100 km)
After breakfast visiting of Monastery Zica, a principal endowment of King Stefan Prvovencani (1195-1223). After that visiting of the most famous serbian Monastery Studenica, founded by Grand Zhupan (Duke) Stefan Nemanja, at the end on 12th century. Lunch in monastery. Journey is continuing to Novi Pazar. Sightseeing of the town with local guide. Night-time in the hotel Novi Pazar.

 

Day 3. Novi Pazar - Sopocani - Monastery Ljubostinja - Monastery Kalenic Krusevac - Nis (cca 250 km)
Breakfast. Journey to Monastery Sopocani built around 1260, continuing the journey to Monastery Ljubostinja built in late 14th century. Tour continues to Monastery Kalenic built at the beginning of 15th century. Lunch. Arrival to Krusevac town. Sightseeing of the town, old capital of duke Lazar. Departure to Nis, accommodation in hotel. Diner. Night-time in the hotel.

 

Day 4. Nerezi - Markov - Monastery Andrea Skopskog - Skoplje (cca 200 km)
Breakfast. Departure for the Macedonia. Visit to Monastery Nerezi dedicated to Saint Panteleimon. After that a visit of Monastery Andrea Skopskog. Lunch. Arrival to hotel. Accomodation. Free time. Dinner. Niht time in the hotel in Skoplje.

 

Day 5. Skopje - Matka - Ohrid - Skopje (cca 350 km)
Sightseeing The Stone Bridge, The Monument of Mother Theresa, The Old Skopje Railway Station, The Museum of the Macedonian icons, The Fortress Kale above the Old Town, The Old Downtown ''Čaršija'', the ''Bit Pazar'' Market, The St Salvation Church and a few mosques. Evening dinner accompanied by the sound of shepherds' music. Night-time in the hotel in Skoplje.

 

Day 6. Skopje - Ohrid (cca 170 km)
After breakfast the group is going sightseeing in Ohrid which is the third town of our tour on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It has the largest number of churches on the Balkans. The area has 365 churches and monasteries which enables you to visit one sacral object each day in a year's time. Evening dinner with the sound of local music outside the hotel. Night-time in the hotel in Ohrid.

 

Day 7. Haraclea - Stobi - Skoplje (cca 250 km)
After breakfast, visiting the ancient remains of Heraclea Lyncestis the middle of the 4th century BC. Departure and sightseeing of Stobi, ancient town of very important meaning during the Hellenic period. After that, return to Skoplje and sightseeing of the town with a escorted by local guides. Dinner in national restaurant. Night-time in hotel in Skoplje.

After breakfast, Transfer to the Skopje Airport. The end of one Balkan gathering. Flight back home.
