Trekking, cruising, exploring, jeep and rafting expedition

 

 

Day 1. MOKRA GORA - FOCA (BOSNIA)
Expedition departure. (The exact time of departure depends on a distance from the departing town and Foča). Refreshement breaks during the trip. Lunch at the restaurant in Kremni. Break at Mokra Gora (depending on time and trasportation schedule; there is also a possibility for visiting Kusturica’s Drvengrad’ in Mećavnik and famous railway track – Šarganska osmica (the Šargan Eight). The trip continues towards the border-pass with Bosnia and Herzegovina. (Depending on a timeline: visit to Dobrun Monastery, tour round a famous bridge on Drina River in Višegrad). Arrival in Foča. Organized excursion to the National Park Sutjeska. Accomodation in hotel. Dinner. Night stay at the hotel.

 

Day 2. FOCA – PERUCICA RAINFOREST – TRNOVAC LAKE
Packing things after breakfast and preparation for visiting rainforest Perućica, the only rainforest reservation in Europe, with a possibility of taking photos at the waterfalls Skakavac in the middle of the jungle. The next activity is a half-hour driving round the Perućica rainforest’s lines to the belvedere Prijevor which is placed on a plato under the Maglić mountain. Prijevor includes parking lot and a lunch break (lunch package), then preparing the necessary equipment for the tracking tour to the lake Trnovac that lasts for 2-2,5 hours. Arriving at the lake bank (1520 metres high) and building the camp there. Free night stay around the fire and grill. Night stay at the camp.

 

Day 3. TRNOVAC LAKE – MAGLIC MOUNTAIN – TRNOVAC LAKE
After getting up and having breakfast there will be preparations for daily tracking tour and climbing the highest mountain in BiH, Maglić – at 2386 metres of height. The tracking tour itself is very demanding according to the physical condition in superbing the 1000 metres of height difference and it is to last for some 6-7 hours, so you will be able to choose between the tracking tour to Maglić or staying at the lake bank, swimming and resting with an easy, two hours tracking tour round the lake. Getting to the top of the mountain is planned and provided with one hour break for coffee and snack and which culminates with the sights of extraordinary nature beauty and unforgetable view. Returning to the lake. Late-afternoon swimming in the lake and preparation for the dinner. Dinner, evening chill-out and night stay at the camp.

 

Day 4.TRNOVAC LAKE PRIJEVOR - FOCA
After getting up and breakfast, everybody will pack the equipment and the group is returning back to the belvedere Prijevor where the terrain vehicles will be waiting for driving the group back to hotel in Foca. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon chilling, swimming at the biggest open pool on the Balkans. Dinner. Laisure activities. Night stay at the hotel.

 

Day 5. FOCA – MOUNTAIN ZELENGORA – DONJE BARE LAKE – GORNJE BARE LAKE – TJENTISTE
Getting up and breakfast. Preparation and leaving using terrain vehicles to the whole-day visit to the mountain Zelengora. Arrival at the lake Donje Bare; tracking tour and climbing to the Uglješa’s top, one of the highest tops of Zelengora mountain; visiting the lake Gornje Bare with snack, tea or coffee breaks. Returning to the Tjentiste and lunch. Free time during the afternoon. Dinner. Laisure activities. Night stay.

 

Day 6. TJENTISTE - RAFTING ON TARA RIVER
This day is provided for rafting. So, after the breakfast and packing time, the tour participants will be driven to Zabljak, at Splaviste, up the river from the magnificent thin arch-shaped bridge at Djurđevica Tare. Preparation for the rafting (every participant gets adequate rafting equipment: special suit and boots, safety vests, helmets and oars). Rafting starts from the first sequence of the Tara river, 30 km in lenght or 3,4 to 4 hours with photo-saffari breaks, swimming and refreshing. Arrival at the famous camp Radovan Luka. Late afternoon lunch and accomodation in tents provided. Dinner. Laisure activities after dinner and night stay at the camp.

 

Day 7. RAFTING ON TARA RIVER
Breakfast and preparation for rafting. Rafting across the second sequence of the river Tara; photo-saffari and swimming breaks provided. Arrival at the second Tara’s camp and lunch (on the menu: lamb, fish and other ethno dish). The mentioned camp provides accomodation in bungalos in the cosy atmosphere. Dinner. Free evening, friendship along the fire and music. Night stay.

 

Day 8. ETHNO VILLAGE VRANOVINA
Getting up and breakfast. Preparation for the tracking tour and terrain vehicles trip which will last for about an hour; arriving to ethno village Vranovina.The next 2,5-3 hours are provided for the tracking tour by the canyon vizor with the fantastic view to the whole Tara river canyon and Durmitor mountain. Lunch is in the village (on the menu: domestic dish of the local people, cheese, cheese cream, sour milk, woad bannock,...). After lunch there will be easy one-hour tracking tour and transportation back to the camp provided. Arriving at the camp, resting, fishing and other activities. Dinner is planned to be around the fire. Participants continue to have fun beside the fire place after dinner. Night stay in the camp beside beautiful and exciting Tara river.

 

Day 9. RAFTING ON TARA RIVER
Rafting day through the most exciting part of Tara river (with the most frequent and fantastic beech trees). It will last for 3-3,5 hours with photo-saffari, swimming and refreshing breaks. By the end of this great rafting tour, at Piva and Tara confluence, the participants will be driven back to the camp and will have lunch there. Free afternoon. Dinner. Chill-out. Night stay at the camp.

 

Day 10. FOCA – VISEGRAD - SERBIA
After breakfast and packing, departing to Foca. Transport from Foca to the lake of Visegrad where you will have a boat waiting – Vodeni Ciro and cruising across river Lim to its confluence to the Drina river (17 km in one direction). The boat is passing near the regional road to Sarajevo, passes through the low bridge in Omacina (below which Vodeni Ćiro interlaves its chimneys), passes beside old austrian-hungarian non-sunken railway station in Dolovi and follows the sunken Ćira - s railway until Strgacina ; then, at the 90 º angle turns into a Lim river canyon, 7km in lenght, where you can see the clifs which are a few hundred meters high towards the river. At the Lim and Drina confluence the boat returns back through the canyon, in Strgačina 10 minutes break beside the fish pond Lim; after which the boat returns back to the starting point in Setihovo. After returned from this cruising all the actractive and exciting content of our ten-days’ adrenaline tour is quality spent. Late afternoon lunch and departure to Serbia.
